"I was trained in the theater. From the beginning. I started out on stage in an "acting 101" class at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. I fell in love with it - it scared the shit outta me. From there I went on to The Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago, IL for 2 years. After leaving that school, I hung around Chi-town and performed in the local theater circuit. I'm still doing plays to this day in Los Angeles. I believe theater is the most frightening of landscapes for an actor. I also believe it is THE FOUNDATION of acting. Period. No question. There are no security nets. Zero. Once you step out into the lights, there's no turning back. The energy between audience and performer is incredible. I'm proud of my work on stage and I'm still learning." - Alex Skuby
